Ghosthouse Pictures may be a relatively new company but they are not a lazy one. Set up by longstanding producing partners Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert who brought you the legendary "Evil Dead" and just recently their first film for the company, "The Grudge," their own interpretation of the Japanese chiller "Ju-on," already have their second movie heading it's way to DVD.
After giving everybody nightmares at the cinema, "Boogeyman" will be available to own and rent from July 4th courtesy of Universal Pictures (UK) Ltd.
Starring Barry Watson (7th Heaven, Teaching Mrs. Tingle) as Tim, a man terrified of the dark after witnessing as a child his Father being violently sucked into his closet after reading Tim a bedtime story.
Convinced "the Boogeyman" will one day return for him, Tim uses his apartment as a safe haven. Removing all dark corners, no closets, no bed, nowhere for evil to hide. With the help of his girlfriend, Jessica, played by Tory Mussett (Matrix II: Reloaded, Mission Impossible II). he is able to rebuild his life.
When his mother dies, Lucy Lawless, (Xena: Princess Warrior), Tim must go back to the childhood home and face his nightmares.
The horror begins again as one by one his loved ones start to disappear. His only chance of stopping whatever it is, is by facing his demons head on and conquering his fear. But that means he must spend the night alone in his family home.
